Second, instruction is structured and customized to each student’s unique learning style and abilities. The program emphasizes conversational immersion, resulting in confident, daily Spanish conversational skills after just 20 hours of instruction.

Founded in Granada, Nicaragua in 2004, SpanishNOW has been recognized as the best Spanish school by Lonely Planet Travel books for three consecutive years. We have been teaching Spanish in Ottawa since 2007, and we have also been privately commissioned to teach Spanish in the Netherlands, Switzerland, Costa Rica, and Istanbul.
Our program goes beyond surface-level communication to facilitate fluent, native-like conversation. By getting you to speak in Spanish right away, you will quickly gain the confidence you need to put it to immediate use and be inspired to keep learning. In other words, you will not only be able to speak and understand Spanish, but you will also be able to think in Spanish to carry on native conversations in-depth.

Spanish classes can be taken either from the comfort of your own home computer, or in-person at the local Bridgehead on Beechwood Ave in Ottawa.

We believe that learning a new language should be an enjoyable experience. You can take a no-strings-attached, 45-minute tryout Spanish class for only $50 (regular price: $60/class). After the tryout class, you can commit to a 10-lesson package priced at $375 or $500. This package includes 2 – 45-minute lessons per week, either once or twice a week. All learning materials are provided!
With over 20 years of experience as a Spanish teacher, I have found that one-on-one or two-on-one classes are the most effective way to achieve conversational fluency in the shortest time. The maximum group size for the two-on-one package is two students, provided both have the same language proficiency level.
